Things have been awfully quiet here at the old blog. I've returned to community pharmacy full time just in time for flu season. Let's just say I'm having an adventure!
I hope everyone is taking care of themselves. Please take lots of vitamins and antioxidants to ward off those nasty viruses. Wash your hands-Wash your hands-
Wash your hands, Remind all of your family and friends to do so. Keep a spritz bottle of alcohol around-- most pint size bottles of alcohol will accomidate a regular spray cap. Spray on common surfaces like counters and phones to kill off bugs.
I hope everyone is preparing for a happy and safe Christmas. And as Tiny Tim always says, "God Bless Us Everyone."
Here are some recent Skin Free Reviews:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SALE & Other News
We know that everyone is getting a little spooked about spending money and we wanted to offer you a few TREATS and just one little TRICK that we can all live with (hmmm....?)
Our first TREAT is a really nice one. We are offering a 30% discount on every item we sell on www.skinfree.net and www.blueridgegypsy.com. There are no quantity limitations, but we will tell you that this is a very brief sale that starts at Midnight on Friday, October 30th and ends at Midnight on Sunday, November 1st.
Remember that Daylight Savings Time ends on Saturday at Midnight and you gain an hour of time, so you actually have an extra hour to shop!
We have just remodeled both of our websites, so it should be easy for you to get around. Don't forget that you can use the same shopping cart for BOTH websites. That way you only have to checkout ONE TIME.
For those of you concerned about chemical sensitivities, you should know that Blue Ridge Gypsy offers the same wonderful formulations as Skin Free with the addition of Organic Essential Oils. This site is for those who love to smell delicious.
Our second TREAT is really just a bit of bookkeeping. We are closing down our ancient dial-up account with CEVA, so my julieh@ceva.net email address will become inactive.
All emails should be forwarded to blueridgegypsy@yahoo.com.
Okay, now for the TRICK. We really hate to do this, but we can no longer offer free shipping. We are paying UPS and the USPS a fortune and it's really hurting our budget.
Instead, we will offer FLAT RATE SHIPPING. Each package shipped will be charged $4.95 for shipping in the US and $6.95 for shipping to CANADA.
The Flat Rate Shipping will begin on November 1st.
Again, we are very sorry that we have to make this change, but watching our cash flow is a reality we all to face in this economy.
So speaking of SAVING MONEY, I hope everyone takes advantage of this great Hallowwen SALE to get started on your Christmas shopping.
We have a lot of wonderful Skin Care products on both websites that we know you will enjoy.
All the Very Best, Julie

Skin Free Skincare for Eczema and Psoriasis Relief
Below is a realtime email that I recieved yesterday.:
"I absolutely love your products! I have suffered from eczema since my
childhood and throughout my adulthood, and I also have been suffering from
psoriasis since the age of 20(I am now 34) Initially I ordered the soap and
the Face Nectar because I've had scarring from the eczema on my face. The
soap is wonderful and the nectar has helped greatly with the scars on my
face. They are not as noticeable as they once were and I'm not as
self-conscious about my appearance. About a month ago I went to Walgreen's
and found the Super Moisture Body Balm. Although my recent psoriasis
outbreak isn't as severe as previous outbreaks, I used it all over my body
and it seems to keep it at bay. The more I use it, the more I have it under
control and it seems to clear up more. Thank you so much for giving an
alternative to using prescription meds, esp steroids. I hope you continue
to manufacture this product because I am definitely a believer and a loyal
customer.
Thank you, Jason "
Thank You!! Jason was kind enough to give me permission to reprint his email. They say that the proof is in the pudding and I am so glad to receive unsolicited reviews such as this one. Jason, I am so glad the products have helped you. Thanks, too , for supporting us at Walgreens. That is really important for our company, so we can stay available locally.
If you have eczema or psoriasis, please try our products. They will make your life a whole lot more pleasant. All the very best, Julie

Skin Free Skincare Makes a Difference Every Day!
Dear Readers,
I began formulating Skin Free Skincare several years ago basing my formulations on the known active moeities in each natural oil included. Since most of these oils have been used for centuries, their special properties have often been taken for granted and there is not a great deal of current scientific data to back up claims of treatment for specific ailments.
I love to get emails like the following one because it gives me affirmation that I am not only offering a solidly effective product line, but it's a product line that benefits people in ways that no other line does.
Thank you all for your input to me and thank you, Bri, for allowing me to share your email.
This email was received today from BS who writes Silver Savings Blog:
"Good morning Julie!
I received three of the Skin Free products a few days ago - the Extra
Moisturizing Soap, Niaouli Scrub for blemish-prone skin, and the Whipped
Tamanu Butter.
I was both excited and nervous by the opportunity to try these - my daughter
and I both have hyper-sensitive skin. I can't count the number of times I
try an "all natural" or "dermatologist approved" product and wind up itchy
with hives the size of nickles. My daughter gets itchy and a pin prick rash
wherever the product would touch. I stick with the few products I know
won't cause a reaction, but I even have to be careful with those - just
because they work now, doesn't mean a "new and improved" formula will.
I am absolutely amazed by Skin Free products! I've been using all of them
for a few days now, and I don't itch! No breakout, no tingling. My skin is
clean and moisturized. I was so impressed by how good they felt, I ran a
small jar of the Whipped Tamanu Butter over to my mom - she has Dyshidrotic
eczema on her hands. She's been using this for two days now, and called
this morning to thank me - the butter is making her hands soft, and no flare
up!
A few years ago, I had to have a mole removed on my face due to infection.
This left a 1" x 1/2" scar on the right side of my face. While I can't say
it's any less noticeable, thanks to the scrub it is smooth - the horrible
raised bumpy feel is gone! I am hoping with continued use, it will be less
noticeable.
Thank you for creating such wonderful products! I would love to share these
with readers of Silver Savings, Freebies and
Giveaways ,
and would like to request the "special giveaway bonus" for my readers.
Bri"
